Obituary
Mr. Lonnie Anthony Thompson, 35, was called home unexpectedly on Sunday, May 6, 2007. He was born December 5, 1971 in Winston-Salem, NC to Bernice M. Thompson and Wardell Boyd, Sr.
He attended Parkland High School and was employed by Clemmons Concrete.
He was also a member of the Carolina Knights Motorcycle Club.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wardell Boyd, Sr.
Lonnie is survived by his mother, Bernice M. Thompson; sisters, Lorie Thompson-Hickman, Terry Ann Thompson, and Beverly (Donnell) McDaniel; brothers, Dennis Michael Thompson, Kenneth (Anna) Payne, Wardell (Vicki) Boyd, and Anthony Kellum; a host of nieces, nephews, one great-nephew, Jordan L. Hickman; a special friend, Samantha Westberry; and many other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, May 10, 2007 from the Union Baptist Church, 1200 N Trade Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101 with the Reverend Dr. Paul A. Lowe, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 1pm until 2pm on Thursday at the Church.
