Lois Scales-Hilliard lived a blessed life of 103 years. She was born in Atlanta, GA on February 17, 1916, the daughter of Dessie Latimer and Bennie L. Speed. She departed this life on April 28, 2019.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, LC Scales and Sylvester Hilliard; and son, James J. Scales.

She is survived by sons, Donald (Barbara D.), Leon (Arnetta) of Takoma Park, MD, and Anthony (Ethel); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; other relatives; neighbors; church members; and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held in Salisbury National Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00noon on Monday at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Crisis Control Ministry in the name of Lois Scales-Hilliard.
