Mrs. Lois Lawson Crosby, lifelong resident of the city died peacefully April 4, 2013 after a period of illness while living with her devoted stepdaughter and caregiver.

Lois was an Atkins High School graduate and a member of St. Phillips Moravian Church since 1967. She retired from RJR Tobacco Co. Lois loved nature and spent many hours planting and enjoying flowers.

Her husband, Eathern Crosby, Jr. and sister, Beatrice Cook both preceded her in death.

Survivors include her stepdaughter, Brenda Crosby Hill; devoted friends, Willard Robinson and Carol Richardson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30am Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at St. Philips Moravian Church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 11:30am on Tuesday at the Church.
