Mrs. Linnie Mae Wyche departed this life on Saturday, December 10, 2016. She was born April 23, 1945 to Rufus Potter and Lillie Mae Corbitt.
Linnie attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools (WSFCS). She was a former employee of the WSFCS for over 20 years.
Linnie was preceded in death by her parents; a stepmother, Florence Potter; two brothers, Rufus Potter Jr., and Thomas Smith; and a sister, Mary Pollard.
She leaves to cherish her memories a husband Roy Wyche Sr.; five children, Ray (Kathy) Agnew, Jr. of Chesterfield, MO, LaMonica (Patrick) Small, Sonya (Luther) Watson, Roy Wyche, Jr. of the city, and Nakeia (Damon) Morgan of Irvington, NJ; 11 grandchildren, Sydney Agnew-Hayes, Ray Agnew III, Malcolm Agnew, Monteco Mitchell, Keenan Agnew, Joshua Young, Brooklyn Watson, Hodari Morgan, Patrick Small II, Kiziah Morgan and Zahir Morgan; five sisters, Betty Wilson of Oxon Hill, MD, Blondella (James) Parks, Lillie (Hilton) Stone, Martha Chapman, Wanda Potter; four brothers, Johnny Potter, Carl Potter, Reginald Potter, and Tyrone Potter of the city; a devoted friend, Beverly Simmons; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, December 16, 2016 at First Waughtown Baptist Church with Pastor Ray Agnew, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Friday at the Church.
