Mrs. Lillie Mae Young, a native of Lawrence, SC was born August 22, 1918 and passed away January 8, 2011 in Winston-Salem, NC where she resided for eighty-five years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. William R. Young.
She leaves to mourn four daughters, Eleanor Shell, Beverly Harriott, Gayle Young, and Lillie Mae Bacote; two sons, William R. Young and Ronald L. Young; 24 grandchildren, James Shell, Marcelle Shell, Mimi Shell, Darrell Shell, Stepfon Shell, Donald Young, Patrina Young, Lenard Young, Cedrick Young, Robert Young, Antoinette Young, Antoine Young, Shayla Brown, Byrant White, Keisha Bailey, Michelle Young,
Bryant Young, John Young, Ronald Young, Jr., Angela Young, LaTonya Young, Nekaya Young, Chris Young, Tasha Smith; 68 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Morning Star Baptist Church, 1400 Fitch Street Winston-Salem, NC 27107 with Reverend Dennis Leach officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 1pm until 2pm on Thursday at the Church.
