Mrs. Lillie Dobson Lomax, daughter of the late Samuel and Donnie Dobson, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2007. She was born on June 6, 1921 in Winston-Salem, NC. Lillie attended the public schools in Winston-Salem, NC. She was a licensed beautician and retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.

She was married to the late James Lomax, and was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Nathaniel, Paul and Hugh Dobson and three sisters, Ophelia Linton, Catherine Ellington and Ila Davis.

Surviving are four nieces, Thomasine Washington of Philadelphia, PA, Diane Rouse of Reston, VA, Brenda Dobson of Washington, DC and Marjorie Linton of Winston-Salem, NC; two nephews, Paul Dobson of Washington, DC and Frederick Linton of Dorchester, MA. She leaves a host of grand nieces and nephews, relatives and friends, including a dear, special friend, Ruth Speas of Winston-Salem, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday, August 18, 2007 from the St. Paul United Methodist Church with Reverend Donald Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be from 10 am until 11am on Saturday at the Church.
