Mrs. Lillie Mae Bryant, affectionately called "Ms. Lillie", was born to the late Fred and Ida Mae Jowers on July 4, 1932 in Jefferson, SC. She departed this life on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. She was educated in the Chesterfield County School System. She retired from Shoney's Restaurant where she was a Master Cook. Cooking for her family and others remained her passion until her health started to decline.

Ms. Lillie was a dedicated and faithful member of Rockwell A.M.E. Zion Church, where she was an active member of the Senior Adult Ministry and enjoyed their countless trips, Bible Study, and spending time with others. She also was a member of The Missionary Department and attended Sunday School.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sam Bryant; and her brother, sister, and two children.

She leaves to cherish fond memories her four sons, John Jowers (Malinda), Willie Jowers (Rose), and Gary Jowers all of Winston-Salem, NC and Alfonzo Jowers (Audrey) of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Vicky Dargan (Brooks) of Winston-Salem, NC; two nieces, Kay Washington and Rachel Anderson (Richard) both of Raleigh, NC; twenty grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; seventeen great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Rockwell A.M.E. Zion Church, Charlotte, NC. Interment will follow in the Rockwell A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery.
