Obituary
Lillie Mae Black of Winston-Salem, NC passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2009.
She was born on July 3, 1924 in Lauren, SC to Robert and Lillian Fowler. At an early age she moved with her family to Winston-Salem where she attended the public schools of Forsyth County.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church for 67 years where she served in the following capacities: Sunday Church School, Baptist Training Union, Sarah Missionary Group, and the Nurse's Unit.
Lillie was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Elmore Harris; her sister, Willie Mae Moses; and one brother, Erskine Watts.
Left to cherish her memories are his sons, Robert Harris, Frederick Harris, and Carlee (Cecilia) Harris; a host of grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Thursday, January 22, 2009 from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Serenus T. Churn, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Thursday at the Church.
