"Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me!- I Chronicles 4:10"
Reverend Mother Lillian Robinson-Robinson was born May 21, 1923 to the late Lacy and Ruth Robinson in Aiken, South Carolina. She was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 11, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Oscar "Kojack" Robinson; her son, Ronald Miller; and her sisters, Frances "Tossie" Robinson and Catherine Manning.
Mother Robinson was a woman whose life and ministry was dedicated to the power of intercessory prayer; a prayer warrior who has been used of God to birth and sustain many ministries and leaders throughout this Triad area. She could be found most days hosting a prayer meeting, evangelizing or ministering to a pastor and his or her spouse in an intercessory prayer session in her home. Mother Robinson believed the scriptures when it declares...pray without ceasing.
She was a founding member of Ministry for Christ, Incorporated where she served faithfully as Assistant Pastor under the leadership of her pastor and daughter Bishop Andrea Miller-Nash. Mother Robinson was ordained into Apostolic Leadership as Reverend Mother by Holy Orders released at the hand of Bishop Nash. Reverend Mother Robinson is accredited for assisting the ministry in many phases of its growth and maintaining a spirit of prayer. She will be greatly missed by her church family and the many churches she was blessed to share in fellowship with through the years.
She has left a rich and enduring legacy of life, family and Kingdom service. Those charged with the preservation of this heritage are her children; Patricia Miller-Douglas, Edward Leon Miller, and Bishop Andrea "Chuckie" Miller-Nash; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; also many nieces, nephews and church family.
She also leaves to cherish and celebrate her life several spiritual sons, daughters and godchildren; Apostle Sylvester D. Johnson, Apostle Evelyn Monroe, Apostle Timothy & Melinda Quattlebaum, Bishop John H. Heath, Bishop Jack & Delores Nelson, Bishop Freddie B. Marshall, Bishop Brenda E. Nelson and Pastor Linda & Sherman Robinson and close friend Paul Foot.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, August 16, 2008 from the Christ Cathedral Church of Deliverance, 3198 Cherry Street, Winston-Salem, NC with Bishop Freddie B. Marshall (Th.D) officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from Noon until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.
"Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord for they shall cease from their labor and their works do follow them."
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the entire staff of Hospice for the care given to our loved one.
