Mr. Leroy Moxley, son of Emmit and Bertha Moxley was born May 30, 1951 in Sparta, NC. Resting in peace, Leroy Moxley, affectionately known as "Chief / Warrior" fought a good fight and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 16, 2007.
He moved to Winston-Salem, NC at an early age and attended the local public schools. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and was affiliated with the Men's Ministry and Sheepfold Ministry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Phyllis Moxley Rice; and a brother, Herbert "Sonny" Daniels.
Leroy leaves to cherish his most loving memories his beloved wife, Williette Scales; daughters, Ereka L. Scales and Rhonda Stowe; sons, Leroy Scales and Jonathan Hunter; mother-in-law, Ada B. Scales; granddaughter, Cha'Reka Scales; grandsons, Leroy, Kier, and Shakir Scales; sisters, Iva Lee Moxley, Ornolia Marlene Daniels, and Priscilla Scales; brothers, Harvey Lee "Sandy" Moxley, John Wesley "Johnny" Moxley, Bobby Joe Moxley, Larry Gale Daniels, and Emmit Russell "Bud" Daniels; God-children, Aniya Black and Jalen Williams; and a host of other dear relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Noon Saturday, December 22, 2007 from the Shiloh Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Paul A. Lowe, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11am until Noon on Saturday at the Church.
