On Sunday, December 24, 2017 Elder Leroy McGhee transitioned from this life to be with Jesus Christ forever more. He loved the Lord with all his heart and he lived to show that there is a God and His name is Jesus.

He was born April 9, 1934 and was the son of JY McGhee and Mattie Mae McGhee. Leroy had one sister.

Leroy retired from American Coach Bus lines and RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company.

He was born in Granville County, North Carolina and he graduated from Hawley High School in Creedmoor. Leroy also took courses at Forsyth Tech and Piedmont Bible College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In, 1988, Elder McGhee became the Pastor of Heavenly Host Apostolic Holiness Church where he wanted all of us to be equipped for the trip to Heaven.

He leaves to mourn his death his wife of 36 years, Evangelist Marie McGhee; his children, Dale and Gale McGhee, Regina Rice, Sylvia (James) Carter, Falesha Daniel, Kesha (Paul) Robertson, and Calvin Taylor; 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren with one special granddaughter, Kyia Daniel; mother-in-law,  Gracie Hart; brothers-in-law, Bob Johnson and Alvin Hart; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Hart and Dorothy (Theodore) ________; nephew, Minister Lionel Perry; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30am Friday, December 29, 2017 at St. Matthew Apostolic Church.  The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 11:30am on Friday at the Church.  Interment will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in Salisbury National Cemetery.
