Obituary
Leonard V. Staten, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on June 6, 2013. He was born on February 9, 1928.
Leonard graduated from Atkins High School and completed an Associate's Degree from Forsyth Technical Institute and later a Bachelor's Degree from Winston-Salem State University. Leonard was a WWII Navy veteran.
He was married to Daisy V. Staten for over 50 years, who preceded him in death in 2004.
He is survived by his daughters, Belinda Womack and Leonardine (Felicia) Garrett; sons, Brian, Bruce, Albert and Leonard Jr.,; grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, brothers and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Leonard was a member of First Baptist Church, 501 W. 5th St. W-S, NC 27101 where his services will be held at 11am Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family viewing will be held from 10am until 11am on Tuesday at the Church.
