Mr. Lemont W. Whisonant, son of the late Margaret E. Nelson-Fuller and James Mileage Whisonant, was born in W-S, NC on June 5, 1953. He peacefully passed on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Mr. Whisonant lived all of his life in W-S, NC. He grew up in his childhood church home, Shiloh Baptist Church. He graduated from Reynolds High School and became a retired employee with over 35 years of dedicated service to RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. He religiously enjoyed having the incredible talent of playing music on his bass guitar and fishing with his family, friends, and loved ones.
Mr. Whisonant is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Mrs. Cynthia Whisonant; two daughters, Nichole Whisonant and LaMonica Whisonant; one son, Lamar Whisonant; grandchild, Nia Whisonant; sister, Margo Whisonant; niece, Tameko (Dave) Whisonant; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, January 30, 2015 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Paul A. Lowe, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 12noon on Friday at the Church.
