Lee Anderson Smith, Sr. transitioned into the next life on August 2, 2022 at the family home in Winston Salem, NC.  Born in Stokesdale, NC on June 18, 1934, he was the eldest child of Theodore Smith and Orrie Frazier-Smith, both deceased.

Mr. Smith was educated in the Guilford County Public School System. He held various jobs during his life from farming to factory work.  On December 30, 1960, he married Elvenia Price of Winston-Salem, NC and resided in the city until the time of his death. Mr. Smith was drafted into the United StateS Army serving during the Korean Conflict. During his marriage with Elvenia Smith, he fathered two sons, Lee A. Smith, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Kevin B. Smith of Winston-Salem, NC.

He is survived by his two sons; sister, Alvora Smith-Crump of Huntington, WV; daughter-in-law, Angela Smith; niece, Wanda Smith; cousin, Tia Smith of Stokesdale, NC; sister-in-law, Dorothy P Young; and host of family and friends.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd. Salisbury, N.C. 28144. Family and friends will gather at Russell Funeral Home, 822 Carl Russell Avenue W-S, NC at 9:45 am Tuesday to follow the procession to Salisbury National Cemetery.
