Ms. Leada B. Alexander, 71, of 769 E. Clemmonsville Circle left to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. She was the daughter of Leroy and Rosa Lee McCray, born May 25, 1936 in High Point, NC. She was educated and graduated from William Penn High School. After finishing school she went into the work field at Unique Furniture Company, after work there she went on to work at Owens Illinois were she served 32 years until her retirement. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death be her parents; her husband, Garfield Alexander; two sisters, Mable Gray and Ruby McCray.

She leave to cherish her memories four children, Victor McCray of High Point, NC, Vandy Alexander of Austin, TX, Vincent Alexander of Winston-Salem, NC, and Venessa Alexander of Winston-Salem, NC; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of devoted friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday, January 27, 2008 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Family visitation will be held from 1:30 pm until 2 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
