Obituary

Le'Ana Michelle McMillian known affectionately as Le'le, 17, born at Forsyth Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Porchia R. McMillian and Leander D. Houston, both of Winston-Salem. Le'Le was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Mary E. McMillian, Clarence McMillian Sr, Blondean Foster and Charles Foster Sr.

Le'Ana was a forcely driven, compassionate daughter, grand-daughter, sister, niece and cousin. At such a young age she exuded purpose, confidence, intelligence and curated art. Being active in the community was something she enjoyed. She cheered for the Winston-Salem Indians, participated in Track and Field with Tri-City relays track club and was a member of the youth empowerment group 'Triad Starz.' Le'Le was a rising senior at Robert B. Glenn High School. Le'le grew up very outspoken with a confidence level that could shake the entire room. She was front and center at family reunions and had one of the loudest cheerleading voices on the field. She styled her own hair, did her own nails, make-up and dressed herself very well. Miss McMillian was fearless and made a way out of no way. She was family-oriented and unconditionally shared a common love for the well-being of babies.

Le'Ana leaves to cherish both her mother and father Porchia and Leander, her grandparents Michelle M. Foster, Janet Houston (Reginald), Barry Boykins and three great-grandmothers Velma S. McMiillian, Levonia McCollum and Lucy Boykins; her siblings Alzavion McMillian, Patiense Glover, Miracle Wall, Seven Glover, Donell Glover Jr and Antwaune Buey Jr. She leaves to cherish three special aunts Andrea Foster, Devita Foster, Shonda Scales and a special uncle Stephan McMillian. In addition, she is survived by five uncles Brian McCullough, Clindell McCullough, Anthony Hatchett, Clinton Weaks, Donald Weaks and a devoted God-father KC Miller. Le' Ana is survived by a host of special cousins, great-aunts, great-uncles, friends, and mentors.
