Deacon Lawrence Reaves, Sr., 85, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born December 3, 1925 in Salisbury, NC to the late Edmond and Realyer Reaves. He retired from Pleasant Hardware. He was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife of 61 years Margie Ruth; one daughter, Brenda (William) Hunt; three sons, Lawrence Jr. (Bridgette), Michael, and Gene; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Wednesday at the church.
