Laura Sturdivant Little was born October 12, 1909 in Wadesboro, NC to the late Ella and George Sturdivant. She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 13, 2009. Laura was married to the late Robert Little and was a retired domestic worker. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who gave freely of herself sharing her time and talents.

She was an active member of Rising Ebenezer Baptist Church until her declining health.

Laura was preceded in death by her only son, June S. Henry; sisters, Mae Charlotte Brogden, Georgianna Braxton, Annie Bell Spencer and Mary Elijah Williams.

Surviving are relatives to cherish many memories are her grandchildren, Harold L. Henry of Stone Mountain, GA, Janice Glenn , Sandra Jackson (Lorenzo) of Raleigh, NC, Andrew Henry (Joshcline) and Pamela Henry; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Johnsie Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30am Saturday, January 17, 2009 from the Rising Ebenezer Baptist Church with Reverend William Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 11:30am on Saturday at the Church.
