Obituary

Mrs. Laura Dean hall, also known as "Laudean", of 2909 N. Patterson Avenue heard the voice of Jesus say, "Come Unto Me and Rest" on Monday, June 4, 2007 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a brief period of illness.

Mother Laura was born on November 11, 1937 to Judson and Aggie Carmichael in Bladen County, NC. She was educated in Lumberton, NC and Married Mr. Arthur Lee Hall.

Mother Laura relocated to Winston-Salem in 1999 where she united with the Goler Memorial AME Zion Church where she was a faithful member until her health began to fail.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur Lee Hall; one daughter; two sisters and four brothers.

She leaves not to mourn but to cherish the memoirs one daughter, Doris C. (Harold) Jones of the home; two grandchildren, Davida J. (Askia) Smith of Winston-Salem and Marvin Bonner of the home; two great-grandsons, Rashaud and Ajay Smith of Winston-Salem, NC; eight sisters and one brother; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Homegoing services will be conducted at 2pm Saturday, June 9, 2007 from the Goler Memorial AME Zion Church with Reverend Dr. Seth O. Lartey officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2 pm on Saturday at the Church.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the entire Northside Dialysis Staff, Hospice and Pallative Care Center, Ms. Louise Martin and family, Ms. Crystal Thompson, and devoted friend and sister in Christ, Mrs. Dorothy Williams.
