LaTonya Marie Carter was born September 5, 1975 to Dennis Hart and Carrie Lee Carter.  She passed away unexpectedly on April 24, 2018.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her youngest sister, Shemeka Carter; and grandparents, Dorothy Jones, Warren Matthews, and Helen Hart.

She leaves to cherish her memories her father, Dennis Hart of Seattle, WA; 5 children, Malik, LaKendra, Kanye, and Jayden Jones, and Tyree Mitchell all of Winston-Salem, NC; father of her children, Kendrick Jones; special friend, Quentin Horne; 2 sisters, Treva Carter and Tory (Darryl) Love; brother, Stanley Dalton; 5 nephews, 6 nieces, 2 great-nephews, 4 great-nieces; 4 aunts, Sandra Smith and Janice Roberts both of Winston-Salem, NC, Diane Oates of Rural Hall, NC, and Althea (Wayne) Hart-Hawkins of Tocoma, WA; 4 uncles, Larry Hart of Seattle, WA, Vernon Hart of Candor, NC, Onzalee "Jacob" Hart and Hootie Mack of Winston-Salem, NC; great-uncle, Jesse (Mary) Jones of Walkertown, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.  LaTonya loved children no matter the age.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, May 4, 2018 at First Waughtown Baptist Church with Dr. Dennis Bishop officiating. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 12noon on Friday at the Church.
