Ms. Latonia Charles, 49, Latonia passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, after a brief illness on Friday December 4, 2015.

She was a 1984 graduate of West Forsyth Sr. High School, as well as Forsyth Technical College, where she received her degree in Nursing. Her professional career included positions with Baptist Hospital, Amos Cottage, Novant Health, and Brookridge Retirement Homes.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herman & Mattie Charles; one aunt, Josephine Crosby; one uncle, Marion Charles; and one cousin, Terrie Charles.

During her life, she was dedicated to helping others as an LPN Nurse. She touched the lives of everyone she met, and was willing to help out in any way she could.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Linda Charles of the city; one brother, Sterling (Tiffany) Charles of Midway, NC; five aunts, Martha Charles of Oviedo, FL, Sherley Charles of East Orange, NJ, Delois McMiller, Eleanor Hood, and Brenda Charles all of the city; one uncle, Thomas (Patricia) Charles of Bellevue, NE; three nieces, Jazmine, Aniyah and Trista Charles; one nephew, Sterling Charles, Jr.; one dedicated friend, Saburee Greer; and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday December 11, 2015 at the residence, 2900 Poinsetta Dr. W-S, NC 27101. Memorial services will be held at 3:30pm Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 3:00pm until 3:30pm on SAturday at the Chapel.
