Mr. Larry Norland Napper, 69, was born in Forsyth County, NC on December 7, 1953 to Reverend Warren Jake Napper and Madame Mary Elizabeth Mack Napper.  He attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and was formally employed as a Diesel Mechanic.  He was discharged from the United States Army in 1975 after serving in Germany.  Larry was a member of the American Legion Post 220 and a loyal member of the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church-W-S, NC.

After 20 plus years of loved devotion, he married the love of his life, Bonita Woods Napper in December 1998.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Mack, Sam Davis, Samuel Napper, and Daniel Napper; one sister, Constance N. Daniels; and brothers-in-law, John Smith, Aldon Hynes, Melvin Daniels, and Bob Edwards.

He leaves not to mourn, but to cherish all the memories his loving wife of the home, Bonita Woods Napper; two brothers, Reverend Warren Napper and Johnathan Napper; six sisters, Berlene Smith, Dorothy Hynes, Carolyn Napper, Belinda N. Daniels, Wynette Napper, and LaVerne Edwards; two brothers-in-law, Larry Daniels and Don Woods; special sister-in-law, Rosemary Napper; special niece, Carlissa Simpson; special uncle, Hiawatha C. Mack; special friends, Charles & Vernell Hatcher, Thurmond & Deborah Jordan, and Daryl Broady; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, September 15, 2023 at Union Baptist Church. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Friday at the Church.  Private burial will be held at a later date.
