Bishop Larry D. Lucas, 60, departed this life Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Surviving are his father, Hayward McNeill of Los Angeles, CA; one son, Bryan L. (Carla) Lucas and two grandsons, Niromie and Bryan, Jr.; three sisters, Kim (Carlos) Flood, Cynthia Harrell, and Nellie Williams; one brother, Bishop Jeff D. (Denise) Lucas; one great-aunt, Mrs. Magnolia Stevenson of Washington, DC; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved Solid Rock Church Family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Saturday, September 28, 2013 at New Direction Movement Cathedral, 3300 Overdale Ave. W-S, NC with Bishop William Washington, pastor of Powerhouse of Deliverance Garden Cathedral officiating. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC. The family will receive friends from 10:30am until 11am on Saturday at the Church.
