A loving and devoted father and husband, Mr. Larry Wendell Coplin, Sr.., 65, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was fondly known as "Cope" by his friends.

Mr. Coplin was born April 3, 1953, son of Adolphus Coplin, Sr. and Frances L. Crosby. He was employed by RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. for 27 years and Oracle Packaging Company for a few years.

He lived his life to the fullest in God's love, with the belief that it is better to give than to receive. He was a giver, caretaker, devoted friend, dedicated worker, and the life of the party. He enjoyed all sports, and his passions were NASCAR and golf. He cherished his two schnauzers, Broc and Brie.

Mr. Coplin was a faithful member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.

Survivors include his parents; his wife, Mary Ann Coplin; one daughter, Chicana R. Moore of Fort Mill, SC; one son, Larry W. (Maggi) Coplin, Jr., of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Adolphus (Valarie) Coplin, Jr. of Winston-Salem and Grady L. (Monique) Crosby of Milwaukee, WI; one sister, Crystal C. (Kevin) Griffen of Woodbridge, VA; five grandchildren; and several extended family members and friends.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00am Monday, April 23, 2018 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, with Fr. Felix Nkafu officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens Memory, 530 Dobson Street, Kernersville, NC. The family will receive friends between 10:00am and 10:45am at the Church.
