Miss Kimberly Latrice Ellerbe passed away peacefully at her home on March 24, 2016. She was born on August 14, 1982 to Ronald and Portia Ellerbe. She was a 2003 graduate of Forsyth Vocational High School and presently attended classes at Forsyth Technical Community College. Kimberly was a faithful member of Goler Metropolitan AME Zion Church where she was an honorary member of the Goler Health Ministry and the Inspirational Voices of Praise Choir and enjoyed attending church service each week.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mary Hall Thompson; paternal grandmother, Queen Esther Ellerbe McLean; and maternal grandfather, Robert L. Thompson, Sr.
She is survived by her parents, Ron and Portia Ellerbe; her sister, Kia Boykins (David); her brother, Reginald Ellerbe (Phoua); paternal grandfather, Dr. Robert Lynn Jones; special aunts, Gloria Robbson (caretaker), Mollie McLean, Marcia Bryant (Thomas), and Melissa McLean (Hal); uncles, Willie Thompson, Charles Thompson, Jimmie Thompson, Ronald Thompson, Roger McLean (Sylivia), and Jessie Ellerbe (Gladys); her nieces and nephews who she called her "babies," Christian, Taylor, Rhyan, Kameron, Alyssa, Chandler, and Emmanuel; several special cousins, friends, and her Goler Church Family.
Homegoing services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Goler Metropolitan AME Zion Church, 1435 E. Fourth St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Wednesday at the Church.
Floral arrangements are accepted but memorials may also be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Goler Metropolitan Building Fund.
