Master Khalid Prince, 15, of Winston-Salem was called home December 6, 2008 at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born March 30, 1993 in Winston-Salem to Kimba Prince and Carlester Massey.

Khalid was a member of First Alliance Church. "KP" or "Prince" as he was affectionately known was educated in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System. He was on the 2008 All County 1st Team Defense Team, Captain for The Parkland Mustangs Basketball and Foot teams. He was Pop Warner football player with the Greyhounds. He also played basketball with Reynolds Park Recreation Center.

He was preceded in death by his great, grandparent, Willa Prince; great-great, grandmothers, Connie Prince and Corrina Scott; and an great-great uncle, Arlington Scott, Sr.;

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Kimba Prince; father, Carlester Massey; sisters, Khalia and Khania Prince; grandparents, Yolanda "Tami" Prince (James Hicks), Freddie (Valerie) Sutton, and Barbara Boulware; great, grandparent, Allen (Joan) Scott; uncle, Ralon Prince; great-uncle, Derek Prince; great aunt, Veronica (Gordon) Scott-Bliss; great-great aunts, Mary Ramsey, Rose Mootoo, and Renee (Bob) Hayes; great-great uncle, James (Devita) Mack, Billy (Rachel) Graham; godparents, Thelma and Rodney Jones and Warren Carter; special aunts, Gail Davis, Pat Davis, and Lois Wilkins; special uncle, Trent Gibson, Adrain Jones, Shannon Haliburton, Adam Kight, and all uncles from Florida; special cousins, Andre Bliss, April Jones, Brennan Sermon; special friends, Lyndon Marshall and James Friende; and host of family and extended friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Pinedale Christian Church, 3395 Peters Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27217, with Dr. Mitchell L. Dawkins and Pastor Derrick Ronk officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 7 pm until 9 pm at the church Friday, December 12, 2008. The family will be receiving friends at the Hilton Garden Inn off Hanes Mall Blvd. Thursday, December 11th through Saturday, December 13th.
