Our beloved Keschia Tawanda Crockett was born April 30, 1971 to Johnnie Mae Crockett and Sterling McCorkle in Winston-Salem, NC. She departed this life unexpectedly on Monday, December 9, 2024.

She attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. Keschia was a loving mother and grandmother; her children and grandchildren were her life. She was also fiercely loyal to those she loved and was a protector. Keschia was straightforward and direct; she said what she meant and meant what she said.  She loved to cook and share her meals with family and friends. Her passionate, sarcastic, funny, outgoing, bold and beautiful personality will be sorely missed.

Keschia was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Lee Crockett; her devoted mother, Johnnie Mae Crockett; and her father, Sterling McCorkle.

Left to cherish loving memories are her children, Leonard "Rusty" Crockett, LeNail "Mel" (Keyonta) Crockett, LeDarrell "Blizz" Crockett, Leander "Lee Lee" Crockett, and LeKeshia "Lucy" Crockett; grandchildren, LaNiyah, LaDacia, LeDarrell, Jr., LeNaria, LaRiah, Landen, LeDarrius, Ariel, LeKiyah, Leiah, A'Rianna, Londyn, Lennox and Lemir; brother, Willis "Red" Crockett; aunts, Mary Lou Crockett, Carolyn Harris, Beverly Wall, and Ninetta Crockett; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, December 13, 2024 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation and public viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Friday at the Chapel.
