On Saturday, May 27, 2023, God dispatched his angels to call our beloved brother, Kerry Cade, home. He was born on July 31, 1963 to Reverend Joseph Cade and Sister Rosie Lee Davis Cade.
Kerry attended school in Robeson County and graduated from Lumberton Senior High School in 1980. Kerry worked several jobs before going into the US Air Force.
On April 26, 1982 Kerry joined the Air Force. He was an Aircraft Armament Systems Technician. Kerry served two years in support operation in Desert Shield/Desert Storm from August 2, 1990 until December 31, 1992. Kerry was honorably discharged from the Air Force as a SSGT on December 31, 1992. Kerry was employed with Ralph Lauren as an IT Specialist. His last job as the time of his passing was at Tempur Sealy International as an IT Specialist.
Kerry was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Joseph Cade and Rosie Lee Davis Cade; his paternal and maternal grandparents, Daniel Cade, Sr. and Lelar Smith Cade, and Lester Davis, Sr. and Naomi Davis; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
Kerry leaves to cherish his loving memories three sisters, Joann Cade and Bridgett Cade both of Lumberton, NC and Priscilla Edwards of San Antonio, TX; brother, Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Cade of Lumberton, NC; aunts, Gurline Overton of Flint, MI, Blanche McEachern of Atlanta, GA, Beulah Payne of New York, NY, and Louise Cade of Lumberton, NC; uncles, Smith (Shaun) Cade, Jr. of Missouri and Lawrence Cade of San Diego, CA; one niece, Anshawnd Cade of Lumberton, NC; two nephews, Ronald Lee Cade "Little Ronnie" Singletary of Fayetteville, NC and Quentin Lee Cade Singletary of Asheboro, NC; an a host of great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Kerry was a very quiet and unassuming man who had a beautiful smile. Kerry loved to make his nieces and nephews laugh. He also loved to watch sports. Kerry was a hard worker and enjoyed learning new things. In fact, before his passing, he was teaching himself how to play the guitar and was pursuing a nursing degree. Kerry was truly an enthusiastic learner and loved knowledge. Kerry we all love you and you will be greatly missed.
