Kenyare Lavon King was born October 15, 1988 to Sheleta Walker and Rodney Boyd, Sr. in Winston-Salem, NC.  On June 24, 2022 God summoned his earthly angel home at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC.

He attended Mt. Tabor High School and continued his education by receiving certificates in carpentry and horticulture.  "Ken" worked several jobs, one being the "Best Biscuit Maker" at Bojangles in Mt. Airy.  Ken was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Ken was preceded in death by his brother, Rayshawn Boyd; grandparents, Cynthia Terry O'Neal (Sam), Glenn White, and Richard Johnson; and several great-aunts and uncles.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Tamika Hickman King; his children, Nehemiah Dewayne King, Kymiah Michelle King, and Elijah Monta Dobson; parents, Sheleta Walker and Rodney (Keisha) Boyd, Sr.; grandmother, Peggy Boyd Johnson; siblings, Rodney Boyd, Jr., Jaquade Walker, Gerick Walker, Ranesha Boyd, Ariel Walker, Aryanna Walker, Tyrell Boyd, Jasmine Hughes, DeAndre Boyd, Keishawn Boyd, and Rashad Boyd; loving aunts, Taundra White, Ladonna White, Nekehea White, and Angela Boyd; two devoted cousins, Imari White and Shaudia Boyd; mother-in-law, April Smith; Godmother, Claudine Walls; and a host of cousins, extended family and friends whom he loved.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 6:00pm Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30am Friday, July 1, 2022 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  Entombment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11:30am on Friday at the Chapel.
