Mr. Kelvin Leon Thompson known as "Cray Cray" was born August 4, 1962 to the late Leo Thompson Sr. and Doris Glenn Thompson. He departed his life on Friday, October 11, 2019. He was a native and a resident of Forsyth County he attended the Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools. He worked at Little Richard's Barbecue for five years and Mr. Barbecue for more than twelve years as a cook. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Leo Thompson Sr.; his mother, Doris Glenn Thompson; one brother, Mr. Ronnie Glenn; three step-brothers, Mr. Lacy Thompson, Mr. Leo Thompson Jr., and Mr. Wilfred Thompson; four step-sisters, Ms. Louis McGill, Mrs. Evelyn Squarewell Thomas, Ms. Eugenia King and Mrs. Hattie Thompson Shaw.
He is survived by one daughter, Ebony Spencer; three grandchildren, Enisia N. Spencer, Ethan A. Spenser, and Elijah A. Spenser; three god grandchildren, Honesti Grier, Journei Grier and Mysteri Campbell; five sisters, Brenda Allen, Patricia Glenn, Sharon Glenn Carter, Linda Thompson, and Alice Wallace (Donald) all of the city; two step-sisters, Kathy Amos and Carolyn Amos all of the city; two brothers, Cedric Glenn (Lisa) and Donald Thompson of the city; six step-brothers, Willie (Corrine) Thompson, Charles Amos, Clifton Amos and Cornell Amos all of the city, Donald (Betty) Amos, of Greensboro, NC, and Harry Amos of Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews; and two very devoted friends, Father Carros and Vickie.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Donald Amos officiating. The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2:00pm on Wednesday at the Chapel.
