Kelsey "Leroy" Lash, 83, a native of Winston-Salem, NC was born April 26, 1929 to the late Kelsey and Carol Lash. He departed his earthly life on Monday, October 15, 2012 to his eternal home in glory.

"Leroy" was a member of the US Coast Guard and received an honorable discharge. He moved to Buffalo in 1948 and retired as a Construction Worker for the city of Buffalo. He was a faithful member of Greater Emmanuel Temple Church and severed in several ministries. He enjoyed fellowshipping with his church family. "Leroy" loved all his family and traveled to Winston-Salem to visit them until his heath declined. His quiet and gentle spirit will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He fought a good fight and kept the faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, Jerome, and Paul Lash; and one sister, Camillia Lash Evans.

"Leroy" is survived by his wife, Patsy Lash; son, Kelsey Lash, Jr.; daughter, Carol Lash Scott all of Buffalo, NY; three sisters, Patty (Willie) Martin, Shirley Williams, and Maxine Lash all of W-S, NC; two brothers, Connie (Dianna) Lash of El Paso, TX and Jerry Lash of W-S, NC; two sisters-in-law, Willa Lash of W-S, NC and Trey Lash of Rialto, CA; several grands and great-grands; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Homecoming services will be held at 12noon Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Greater Emmanuel Temple Church, 151 Richmond Ave. Buffalo, NY 14222. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, October 19, 2012 from 1pm-until 3pm.
