Mrs. Kay Frances Eaton was born on July 8, 1952 to the late Ms. Mary M. McKey and she entered into eternal rest very quietly on March 10, 2019.
"Mrs. Kay" as she was known was educated in the Winston-Salem, Forsyth County School System. Later in life, Kay began working as an employee of Wake Forest University where she remained for 29 years until her retirement in March 2013.
She leaves to always cherish clear and tender memories her two sons, Mr. Reginald "Monroe" McKey and Mr. Kenya "Tootie" McKey of Winston-Salem, NC; her loving life partner of 27 years, Mr. Jerry Howard of the home; her heart strings, her 7 grandchildren; her loving siblings, sisters, Mrs. Phyllis (Norman) Graham, Ms. Dorothy "Tootie" Patterson, Ms. Ernestine "Tina" McKey all of Winston-Salem, NC and Ms. Patricia Smith of Greensboro, NC; brothers, Mr. Pete (Miriam) McKey, Mr. Charles (Jasmine) McKey all of Winston-Salem, NC and Mr. Jessie Smith of Greensboro, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many caring friends who will truly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Friday at the Chapel.
