Katrina Brenetta Bonaparte Richardson was born to Cornell Jett and Lucille Robinson Bonaparte on September 6, 1949 in Winston-Salem, NC. She spent her primary years attending the local schools and was a graduate of Atkins High School, W-S, NC and attended A&T University, Greensboro, NC.

Katrina moved to Far Rockaway, NY in her young adult years and was employed with Chase Bank for a number of years. She and her family relocated to W-S, NC.

She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Josephine Rogers and Blondell Wilson formerly of New York; and two brothers, John Lee and Michael Bonaparte formerly of W-S, NC.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 51 years, Thomas Richardson of the home; her two sons, Thoran and Kassim Richardson and a granddaughter, Malaysia Richardson all of W-S, NC; a sister, Wilhelmenia Cheeks of W-S, NC; brother, Rev. Emanuel E. Bonaparte (Forrest) of Claremont, NC; a host of close nieces, nephew, great-nieces and great-nephews, and friends to cherish her memories.

She always had a big, giving heart and loved to cook and host her entire family and friends for holidays at their home in W-S, always making everyone feel loved and welcomed.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2:00pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
