Katrina Michelle Payne, daughter of the late David and Katie Payne, was born November 5, 1963 and was the youngest of eleven children.  She surrendered her fight and went to her heavenly home on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in W-S, NC.

Katrina graduated from North Forsyth High School Class of 82 and continued to further her education at Rutlage Business College in W-S, NC.  She was employed with the City of Winston-Salem Sanitation Department for 22 years until her health declined.

Katrina was preceded in death by her parents, David and Katie Payne; three brothers, David Duncan, Sr., Ronald Payne, and Thomas Leroy Payne; and four sisters, Rosalyn Payne, Sharon Payne Coggins, Mary Payne-Jones, and Lillian Payne Banner.

Katrina leaves to cherish loving memories her daughter, Nakienah (Kelvin Love) Payne; son, Adrian Payne; two grandchildren, Giovonni Payne-Love and Melanie Payne-Love; a devoted God-daughter, Lakesha (Anthony) Brunson; two sisters, Jacqueline (Willie) Brooks and Sophia (Thomas) Payne Drake; one brother, Reverend Karl (Bobbietta) Payne; devoted sister-in-law, Ida Duncan; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Paul Lowe, Jr. officiating.  Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Saturday at the Church.
