Kathy Allen Stewart was born in Winston-Salem, NC on February 12, 1960 and departed this life at the age of 57 on December 11, 2017 at 10:59am at home with her loved ones.

Kathy was a devoted mother, sister, daughter, and grandmother.  She was a fun and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and she brought tons of joy into the lives of all that knew her.

Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Rosie F. McKoy; and her brother, Abrah R. Allen.

Kathy was blessed with and survived by three beautiful children, Tahji Allen (Shavon), Corey Stewart (Chante), and Latia Allen; two grandsons, Tyrell Allen and Jaden Conyers; one granddaughter, Ayhmanii Alston; her father, William H. McKoy; one brother, Johnny Staggers (Sandra); four sisters, Mildred Robinson, Pamela McKoy, Myra McCollum (Theodore), and Shannon P. McKoy; God-brother, Henry Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leon Ogelsby officiating.  Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Saturday at the Chapel.
