Katherine D. Hunter of Winston-Salem, NC, peacefully passed on Thursday, May 23, 2013 in Ashburn, VA. She was the beloved mother of the late Valeria Deanna, Sara Elizabeth, Constance Gay; and former wife of the late Johnnie Hunter.

To carry on the family legacy she leaves her grandchildren, Sharon Easterling, Everett Daviage, Traci Griffin, and Sheridan Easterling; nine great-grandchildren, Constance, Autumn, William, Micah, Grace, Faith, Victoria, Jonathan and Caroline; she is also survived by her devoted cousin, Tyrone Montgomery; other relatives and many friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11am Monday, June 3, 2013 at Hanes Memorial CME Church, 819 N. Highland Ave. W-S, NC. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11am on Monday at the Church.
