Obituary
Katherine Adams Gabriel, 94, of 2201 Elbon Drive, passed Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Forest Heights Assisted Living Facility.
She was born in Lancaster, SC on November 18, 1919 to Mary Adams.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband, James S. Gabriel, Sr.; and four brothers, Odell, Edward, Woodrow, and Duke.
She leaves to cherish her memory six sons, Arthur Williams (Willie Mae), Bernard Adams (Andrea), James S. Gabriel, Jr., Melvin Gabriel, Willie Gabriel (Julia), and Tyrone Gabriel; one daughter, Kathy Gabriel Farrish (Herbert); 14 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30am Saturday, March 1, 2014 at John Wesley AME Zion Church with Reverend Gloria L. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 11:30am on Saturday at the Church.
