It is with heavy hearts but enduring gratitude for his life that we announce the passing of Justin Calhoun on December 11, 2024, at the age of 24. Born on December 6, 2000, Justin's life was a beacon of light and love, leaving an unforgettable impact on all who knew him. His vibrant spirit, compassionate heart, and determination to embrace life with purpose will forever inspire us.

Justin was deeply cherished as a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend. From a young age, he displayed a curiosity and drive that set him apart. A student of West Forsyth High School and graduate of Forsyth Technical Community College (Class of 2017), Justin excelled in academics, particularly in math and science, and shined brightly on the football field. Beyond his achievements, Justin's passions for fishing and music reflected his zest for life and his ability to inspire those around him.

What truly defined Justin was his kindness, infectious laughter, and unshakable optimism. With a sharp sense of humor and an innate ability to make others feel good, he brightened every room he entered. Whether spending time with loved ones or rapping in the studio, Justin approached life with a joyful energy that left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.

Justin leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory forever, his parents, Carmen Calhoun (Lamont) and Joseph Roberts, Jr. (Sheryl); his siblings, Chloe Jones, Quiana Jones, Jaila Calhoun, and Cierra Roberts; his grandparents, Linda Calhoun, Mary Roberts, and Joseph Roberts, Sr.; great-grandmother, Savannah Hairston; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were blessed to share in his journey.

Though Justin's time with us was far too short, his legacy of love, resilience, and kindness will continue to inspire us all. His life reminds us to live with purpose, love deeply, and cherish every moment.

A celebration of Justin's life will take place at 11:00am Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Miracle Temple Deliverance Church, 2930 Prescott Dr., Winston-Salem, NC 27107, followed by a balloon release at the Quarry at Grant Park.

Family and friends are invited to come together to honor his memory, share stories, and celebrate the joy he brought to our lives.
