Julius Galloway was born April 20, 1937 in Latta, SC to Luvenia and Elijah Galloway. He departed this earthly realm on Friday December 16, 2011, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in W-S, NC his daughters by his side.

Julius worked as a cement finisher until his retirement. He resided at 1316 E. Third Street, Winston Salem NC. He was a passionate gardener and was known for his annual bountiful harvests.

Julius was preceded in death by his parents, Luvenia and Elijah Galloway; a son, Julious Deron Galloway, Sr.; his grandson, Julious Deron, Jr.; and two sisters, Rita Mae Johnson and Cornella Galloway.

He leaves to honor and cherish his memories his four daughters, Rose Marie (Edward) West of the Bronx NY; Shalevia, Stephanie and Sonya Galloway of W-S, NC; two brothers, Connie (Elizabeth) Rogers of Latta, SC, and Elijah Galloway, Jr. of Syracuse NY; five sisters, Lucille Galloway, Rachael (Johnnie Lee) Burrell , and Charlotte Mae Galloway of Latta, SC, Annie Catherine Bullock of Virginia Beach, VA, and Delores( James) Baccus of Syracuse, NY; former wife, Carolyn Lee Galloway; and a host of loving grandchildren, great grand children, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James E. Cook officiating. The family will meet with friends from 12:30pm until 1pm on Friday at the funeral home.
