Julious Deron Galloway Sr., known as "Lil Jule" to family and friends, was born May 5, 1962 to Julious and Carolyn Galloway. He transitioned to a new life on Thursday, October 21, 2011 at Wake Forest Baptist Health with his immediate family by his side.
Julious worked in the construction industry until his health forced him to retire. He resided at 1314 E. Third Street, Winston Salem NC. He was a lifelong resident of Winston Salem and received his education in the public school system. He was a graduate of East Forsyth High School. After High School he enlisted in the US Army and received an honorable discharge after a 4 year stint.
Julious was preceded in death by his son, Julious Deron Galloway Jr.; maternal and paternal grandparents; and an aunt, Patsy Ann Lee.
He leaves to honor and cherish his memories his parents, Julious and Carolyn L. Galloway; granddaughter, Imoni Moore; sisters Shalevia, Stephanie, and Sonya Galloway; cousins who were like sisters, Ericka (Charles) Blackwell and Tijuana Lee; also cousins, Robert and Orlando Brooks; along with aunts, Rachel Burrell, Lucille Galloway, Charla Mae Galloway of Latta, SC, Annie Catherine of Virginia Beach, VA, and Delores (James) Bachus of Syracuse, NY; uncles, Elisha Galloway and Connie (Elizabeth) Rogers; and many other friends and relatives.
Memorial services will be held at 11am Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James E. Cook officiating.
