Deron Galloway was born July 1, 1986 to Sharon Fleming and Julious Deron Galloway, Sr. and departed this life on March 20, 2010. Deron died peacefully at his home, 5289 Ivy Stone Lane Winston-Salem, NC. Deron was educated in the public school system in Forsyth County, graduating from Forsyth Technical College and was presently enrolled in Winston-Salem Barber College.
Deron was baptized at an early age and was a member of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of the Sunday school and formerly the Youth Choir. Deron was active, fun loving, and believed he was a major "gansta" rapper. He was employed by One Stop Convenient and Gas Station and the Fox and the Hound Sports Bar.
Deron was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Fleming; maternal grandmother, Lena Brooks; and his aunt, Patsy Ann Lee.
He is survived by his little princess, Imoni Z. Moore; God-child, Immanuel Moore; father, Julious D. Galloway, Sr.; paternal grandmother with whom he lived, Carolyn Galloway; paternal grandfather, Julious Galloway; brother, Shondell Brooks; loving aunts, Shalevia, Stephanie, and Sonya Galloway all of Winston-Salem, NC; caring uncles, Daren James and Edward D. Daniels; cousins, Juan B. Galloway, Aminat Daodu, Ericka (Charles) Blackwell, Tijuana Lee, Robert "Man" Lee, Orlando Lee, Chrishawn Lee, Dequan Lee, Dominique McNeil, Thomas Lee Smith, III., and Tierra Pinckney; devoted and lifelong friends, Candace Moore-the mother of his child, Jonathan and Kimarie Thomas, Nikkoa Woods, Gwendolyn and Leah Farrow, Warren Howard; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday, March 27, 2010 at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor James E. Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2pm on Saturday at the Church.
The family may be contacted at the home of his grandmother and the funeral procession will assemble and leave from the home of his aunt, Sonya Galloway.
