Mr. Julian Howard Royster was born December 30, 1940 in Durham, North Carolina to the late Albert Lawing and Catherine Royster. Julian passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Julian was 80 years old.

Julian was a resident of the Winston- Salem community for over 30 years where he was a devoted and very active Jehovah Witness. He owned and operated his own blacktop surface company. Every one that knew Julian knew he was a hard worker, so much so that he worked in his business until he could not any longer due to becoming visually impaired.

Julian was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Alice and Rosalina; and brothers, Albert, Jr., Andrew, Haywood, Curtis, Robert, and James.

He leaves not to mourn but to cherish dear memories his sisters, Ruth and Pearleana; brother, Edward (Mickey); children, Julius, Larry, Donna (Michael), Sharon, Valerie, Leila (Willie), Timothy, and Julian (Kendra); several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home. Private services will be held Friday, January 22, 2021.
