Mrs. Judy Williams Leak was born in Spartanburg, SC on July 3, 1921 the last living child of twelve born to Reverend Moore G. Williams and Mary Elizabeth Todd Williams. She peacefully departed this life on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Health with one of her loving daughters by her side.

She attended the local public schools of Spartanburg, SC and relocated to Winston-Salem, NC in the early '40s with her late husband, Arthur Odell Leak. After a brief stay for 8 years in Washington, DC, she returned to W-S, NC where she joined White Rock Baptist Church where she remained until her health failed. She immediately joined the senior choir where she was the president for many years and also served in many auxiliaries including teaching Sunday school and organizing several church events.

Judy retired from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School system in the early '80s. She was also a licensed cosmetologist. Her passion in life came in the form of serving the elderly community as a home healthcare sitter. Another passion was cooking and baking in which she would feed the community.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Frank, John, Judge, Faith, Macy, Thomas, Sam, Ella, Charity Kate, Bessie, and Moore G.; and several nieces and nephews.

Left to cherish her memories are her five children, Charles Leak, Odell (Lillian) Leak, and Linda Graham all of the city, Mary (Tony) Blanco and Camille Worrell both of Bronx, NY; thirteen grandchildren, Anthony (Sharon), Tamar, Ashlea, Charlene, Norman, Halima (Eddie), Sam, Jr., Amber, Charles, Joseph, LaKisha, Brittni (Charles), and Mychaela; five great-grandchildren; Anthony, Jr., Courtney, Cameron, Derrick, Julia, and Jaylen; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, January 15, 2016 at White Rock Baptist Church with Reverend V. Cedric Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Friday at the Church.
