Judith Lynn Kornegay was born on April 19, 1990 to Judge and Gwendolyn Kornegay. She brought great joy and happiness to her parents, older brother and the entire family. Judith was bright, brilliant, and as one of her Facebook friends said "she had a heart as big as God." She often put her friends before her own desires.
Judith was a graduate of East Forsyth High School and pursued higher education at East Carolina, Guilford Technical Community College and Forsyth Technical Community College. She loved cooking, developing her own recipes and was an excellent chef. Judith enjoyed driving and loved driving herself from place to place.
Judith was a beloved daughter, faithful friend, great sister and wonderful niece and cousin. She was an incredible person who had a positive effect on many people.
On Wednesday, November 2, 2011, Judith was unexpectedly and inexplicably taken away from us. We will miss Judith for what she was to us. The world will miss what Judith could have become. We trust in God and His infinite wisdom and know that He will take care of our Judith.
Judith Lynn is survived by her parents, Judge and Gwendolyn Kornegay of the city; her older brother, Judge Nesbitt "JN" Kornegay of Lowell, Massachusetts; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
On Tuesday, November 8, 2011 a formal celebration of Judith's life will be held at 12noon at First Baptist Church, 700 Highland Avenue, W-S, NC. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11am until 12noon on Tuesday at the Church.
