Obituary

Juanita Renee Williams was born in Baltimore, MD on January 16, 1971, to the late John R. Williams and Lessie Mae Jennings-Thompson and gained her heavenly crown on January 1, 2023 after a short illness.

Juanita started her education in Baltimore, MD attending School #7, School #74, Lake Clifton 7th-9th grade. Juanita studied a short time at West Forsyth High School of WSFCS then proceeded back to Baltimore to graduate from Fredrick Douglas High School in 1989.

Juanita was employed with K & W Cafeteria from 1990-1995. She then went on to start her career with Winston-Salem Transit in the mid 1990's up until 2007 when she joined US Airways/American Airlines until present.  Juanita also worked at IHOP during this time and retired in 2015 with 18 years of service.

While having family and loved ones she cherished in Baltimore, Juanita built a foundation in Winston-Salem establishing lifelong relationships and friendships.

Juanita, a.k.a Nita Bug, was a pillar in her family and was the matriarch that kept her family together.  Juanita's door was always open and never a judgmental place.  However, Juanita was very frank with her words and wisdom, and never steered you in the wrong direction.  Juanita was also a D.I.Y type of woman.  Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren.  She was considered a supermom by her daughters and by others as well. Juanita enjoyed get togethers, traveling with family and friends, working in her home, remodeling and gardening.  She lived her life loyally.

Juanita was preceded in death by her brother, Christopher E. Jennings-Allen.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Tierra Patiece Williams and Dominique Karice Mallette (Larry Sr.); one granddaughter, Aubri'elle Janae Saunders; two grandsons, Derrick Antonio Ealey Jr. and Larry Jerquan Saunders Jr. all of Winston-Salem, NC; stepfather, Nathaniel Thompson of Maryland; siblings and step siblings, Timothy Jennings and Belvin (Khadijah) Lyles of Winston-Salem, NC, Priscilla Williams, Yolanda (Steven) Young, Tonya (Mark) Bodrick and LaKesha Thompson of Maryland; aunts and uncles, Roberta Bradley, Regina Branche, Diana Moore, Claudette Manning, Gracie (Earnest) George, Sidney Tyrone Moore, Anthony Taylor and Florine Jones all of Maryland; great aunt, Grace Amos of Maryland; special nephews and niece, Terrell Taylor, Nasier Smith, Nakila Jennings, Christopher Elijah Jennings-Allen Jr., Kayden Lamar Allen, Carson Lee Allen, Kobe Joe Allen, Timothy Jennings Jr., and Joseph Lyles of Winston-Salem; a special friend, Drea Ndiaye and a host of family, friends and loved ones.
