JUANITA JOHNSON was born to the late Dolphus and Rosie White on June 13, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois.
JUANITA JOHNSON attended DuSable High School and later completed Nursing Training. She worked for 35 years in the clerical department of the catalog company, Aldens.
JUANITA JOHNSON was united in holy matrimony to Johnie Johnson and was married for 25 years.
JUANITA JOHNSON relocated to Winston-Salem, 17 years ago and became a member of Praise Assembly Christian Center. She not only loved her church and Pastor, but experienced tremendous Christian growth by being a part of this assembly.
JUANITA JOHNSON dedicated her life to believing in the best of what was in her family, friends and loved ones. She spent time praying for God to develop the best in those she was praying for.
JUANITA JOHNSON made her transition to God December 1, 2015 and she leaves to cherish her memory a son, Harold Johnson of Chicago, IL; daughter, Belinda Johnson of Greensboro, NC; five grandchildren, Shenita, Jessica, Tiffany, Joshua, and Rachel; three great-grandchildren, Alicia, Ariel, and Roy, Jr.; several nieces and nephews; a host of cousins including the Mangrum family who have been more like brothers and sisters; and many loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30am December 5, 2015 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Johnny L. York officiating. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 11:30am December 5, 2015 at the Chapel. Burial will be held at a later date in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Chicago, IL.
