Mrs. Juanita M. Anderson, daughter of the late Mary Crawford Starks and Willie Gerald, was born January 28, 1923. Her preparatory education occurred in the public schools of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County.  She graduated from Atkins High School.

Her life experiences as a parent, home-maker and factory worker were joyfully shared with her many friends and family members.  She was a retired employee of R J Reynolds Tobacco Company and a faithful member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

Her earthly sojourn ended on August 14, 2017, a Forsyth Medical Center following a brief period of illness.

The essence of her spirit and many precious memories remain with her surviving daughters, Alvonia A. Hill of Winston-Salem  and Viola McKinney Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Levi Hill, Jr., Derrick McKinney and Donna McKinney; nephew, Wallace Prysock, Jr.; as well as the family being joined in the celebration of Juanita's life by her caregivers at Springwood Care Center and other friends and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, August 18, 2017 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Friday at the Chapel.
