Joy Fredrica Paige Jackson Adams passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at Trellis Hospice Care of Winston-Salem, NC.  Joy was born on August 25, 1950 in Lanham, Maryland to Stanley Paige and Bruce Pugh Paige.  She accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized and recently re-dedicated her life.  She was married to the late Richard Adams until his death in November of 2004.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joy will join a sister, Denise C. Patterson; and her brother, Johnnie E. Paige.

She leaves behind two sons, Anthony Jackson of Hopkinsville, KY and Adam Jackson of Waldorf, MD; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Aurelia Johnson of Winston Salem, NC, Yvonne (Ryland) Glass of Rosedale, MD, Sabrina (Larry) Baker of Potomac MD, and Aleta (Milton) Bitting of Winston Salem, NC; 2 brothers, Derry Haywood, II of Newport News, VA and L. Leonard Lloyd; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Saturday at the Chapel.  Burial will be held on January 6, 2020 in the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery Ahoskie, NC.
