An angel touched Mrs. Josephine M. Carpenter on February 5, 2021 and quietly terminated her earthly pursuits and endeavors. Born February 18, 1929, she was the third child born to the late Stenson and Julia Murray.

She attended Grace Presbyterian Church until her health failed.

Josephine attended Forsyth County Schools having graduated from Atkins High School in 1947.

A loving and kind mother of the spirit, Josephine held a deep religious conviction as she practiced what she preached and that was be kind to everyone and treat them with respect.

Josephine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Benjamin F. Carpenter, Sr.; and her only daughter, Andrea M. Carpenter.

Josephine leaves memories to be cherished by her sons, Benny Wofford (Virginia) of Winston-Salem, NC, Benjamin F. Carpenter, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, Anthony Carpenter (Geraldine) of Charlotte, NC, Vincent and Curtiss Carpenter both of Winston-Salem, NC; eleven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home. Private services Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
