Mr. Joseph "Joey" William Jones of 2709 Sink Street, Winston-Salem, NC went home to glory on Saturday, July 12, 2008. He was born on September 27, 1956 in Winston-Salem, NC to John William Jones and Fern Felolia Fulp Jones.

Joseph W. Jones graduated from North Forsyth High School in 1974. He went on to graduate from Western Carolina University in 1979, where he received a B.S. in Spanish. During his attendance at Western Carolina, he became a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He retired in 2007 from BellSouth after 27 years of dedicated service and was presently employed by JC Penny.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of 26 years, Mrs. Druscilla Wallace Jones; his loving children, Erica LaMone Jones, Christopher William Jones, and his "Babygirl", Kerri Yvonne Jones all of the home; his loving mother, Fern Felolia Jones of Winston-Salem, NC; his sisters, Deborah Elaine Jones of Greensboro, NC and Tammy (Jesse) Charice Johnson of Winston-Salem, NC; one brother, John "Greg" Gregory Jones of Charlotte, NC; one niece, Ashley Semone' Mathis and one nephew, Jesse "Jay" Johnson, III. both of Winston-Salem, NC; three great-aunts, Anna Mae Fulp and Mollie Fulp both of Winston-Salem, NC and Ella Mae Fulp of Walkertown, NC; three aunts, Marion Gwyn, Hilda Lowe, and Shirley (Kenneth, Sr.) Dodd all of Walkertown, NC; his uncle, Wendell (Mae Francis) Jones of Walkertown, NC; two devoted life-long friends, Michael "Mike" L Robinson of Winston-Salem, NC and Milton "Wayne" Murray of Mount Airy, NC; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Joseph Jones was exceptional husband and father and he will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm from the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend I. L. Anthony officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 1pm until 2pm on Wednesday at the Church.
